New French For Travelers Classes

I'll be offering a new 10-week series (20 hours) of French For Travelers starting in October, 2023. These group lessons will be offered in-person once a week for two hours from October 8 - December 17 (no class Thanksgiving week). I will also offer lessons online once a week for those who do not live locally.

Our program will help you feel confident in your French language skills and prepare you to use French during your travels. We'll focus on vocabulary and useful dialogs, as well as culture and travel tips and recommendations.

Dates: Sundays, 4-6pm October 8 - December 17 (no class Thanksgiving week)

Cost: $200 + $15 materials fee (all materials included)

Class size: minimum 6 students; maximum 12 students

Topics:

Week One: Greetings, basic conversations, polite language, cultural notes

Week Two: At the hotel - making reservations, check-in, getting assistance

Week Three: At the café - ordering food, talking money, cultural notes

Week Four: Around town - transportation, directions, tourist needs, cultural notes

Week Five: Around town continued - taxis, trains, schedules, etc.

Week Six: Review - Weeks 1-5, cultural notes

Week Seven: At the museum - buying tickets, reading signs, cultural notes

Week Eight: Shopping - asking for items, colors, numbers, cultural notes

Week Nine: Travel Planning - putting it together for specific trip plans
